Probeo

Privacy Policy

Version 1.0 — effective July 23, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Silicon Prairie Technologies, LLC ("Company," "we," "us") collects, uses, and discloses information in connection with Probeo (the "Service"). This Policy applies to two distinct groups of people, and it is important to understand which one applies to you.

  • Customer Personnel. Individuals who create an account, log in, and use the Service on behalf of a recruiting company or staffing agency ("Customer"). This Policy applies directly to these individuals.
  • Candidates. Individuals whose information is entered into the Service by a Customer for the purpose of recruiting screening. Candidates do not have accounts and do not interact with Company directly. For Candidates, Customer is the data controller and Company acts as a data processor or service provider on Customer's behalf. If you are a Candidate and have questions about your data, please contact the recruiting company or agency that entered your information, not Company directly, though Company will assist that Customer in responding to your request.

1. Information We Collect

Account and Customer Personnel Information

When a Customer creates an account, we collect the recruiter or administrator's name, email address, and, if provided, phone number, along with company and role information necessary to operate the account, such as seat type and permissions.

Candidate Information

Customers may enter the following information about Candidates into the Service: name, email address, phone number, current title and employer, resume files, interview notes, screening ratings, and verdicts. This information is entered and controlled by the Customer, not by the Candidate directly.

Resume content is processed by our AI sub-processor (Anthropic) as described in Section 3, for automated review purposes only.

Billing Information

Subscription payments are handled by our payment processor, Stripe. Company does not directly receive or store full payment card numbers.

Usage and Log Information

We automatically collect certain technical information when the Service is used, including IP address, browser type, device information, and timestamps of activity, for security, troubleshooting, and service operation purposes.

2. How We Use Information

  • To provide, operate, and maintain the Service, including account access, role and candidate management, and screening session tracking.
  • To generate AI-assisted interview questions and answer guidance based on job description and role information a Customer provides.
  • To process subscription payments and manage billing.
  • To send transactional communications, such as invitations, password resets, and support responses.
  • To provide customer support, including limited internal access to account data by authorized Company personnel for troubleshooting purposes.
  • To maintain the security and integrity of the Service, including rate limiting and abuse prevention.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

3. AI Processing

The Service uses a third-party artificial intelligence provider (Anthropic) to generate interview questions and suggested answer guidance based on job description and role configuration information a Customer supplies. This AI processing is used to assist recruiters in preparing for interviews. The AI provider is not used to score, rate, or evaluate individual Candidates, and does not make or influence hiring decisions. All ratings, verdicts, and hiring-related judgments are entered by the Customer's own personnel using the Service, not generated or determined by AI.

Separately, when a Customer uploads a Candidate's resume, the Service uses the same AI provider to perform an automated check comparing claimed experience against real-world technology timelines, and to extract a list of skills mentioned in the resume for search purposes. Before resume content is sent to this AI provider, the Service applies an automated redaction step intended to remove the Candidate's name and email address; phone number and street address, where present, are redacted on a best-effort basis and may not be removed in every instance. Redacted resume content may still include employment history, job titles, dates, and skills. This processing does not result in a score, rating, or ranking of the Candidate — output is limited to informational items for the Customer's own review, consistent with this Section's description that all hiring-related judgments are made by Customer's own personnel.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell personal information. We share information with the following categories of third parties, each acting as a service provider or processor on our behalf, solely to operate the Service:

  • Supabase, our database, authentication, and file storage provider, which hosts substantially all account, candidate, and screening data.
  • Stripe, our payment processor, for subscription billing.
  • Anthropic, our AI provider, for generating interview questions and answer guidance as described above.
  • Resend, our email delivery provider, for account and transactional email.
  • Upstash, our infrastructure provider for rate limiting and background job processing.
  • Vercel, our hosting provider.
  • Sentry, our error monitoring provider, which receives technical error data with Candidate and Customer personal information redacted by design.
  • Axiom, our log aggregation provider, which receives operational log data with Candidate and Customer personal information redacted by design.

Company's marketing website, which uses Sanity as a content management system, is a separate system from the Service and does not store or process Customer or Candidate account data. Content managed through Sanity is limited to public marketing and informational content.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights and safety of Company or others, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case this Policy would continue to apply to the transferred information.

5. Data Retention

We retain account, candidate, and screening data for as long as a Customer's account remains active, and thereafter until deletion is requested. The Service currently allows records to be archived rather than immediately and permanently deleted upon request, and Company does not currently apply an automatic deletion schedule to inactive data. A Customer or, where applicable, a Candidate through their Customer, may request deletion of specific records by contacting Company.

6. Your Rights

Customer Personnel

Customer Personnel may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their own account information by contacting Company directly at the email below.

Candidates

Because Company acts as a processor with respect to Candidate data, requests regarding a Candidate's information should be directed to the Customer that entered it. Company will support Customers in fulfilling such requests.

California Residents

California residents may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act and its amendments, including the right to know what personal information has been collected, the right to request deletion, and the right to non-discrimination for exercising these rights. Company does not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law. California residents may exercise these rights by contacting Company at the email below.

7. Geographic Scope

The Service is intended for use by businesses located in the United States and is not directed at, or intended for, individuals or entities located in the European Union, the European Economic Area, or the United Kingdom.

8. Cookies

The Service uses essential cookies necessary for authentication and session management. The Service does not currently use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. This section will be updated if that changes.

9. Data Security

Company implements technical and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, or loss, including access controls that restrict data to the Customer account it belongs to and limited, role-based internal access for support purposes. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and Company cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is intended for business use by adults and is not directed at, or knowingly used to collect information from, children.

11. Changes to This Policy

Company may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or an in-product notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
