From Candidates, click Import to bulk-add candidates from a CSV file instead of entering them one at a time. Drag a file in or use the file picker — it needs a header row and at least one row of data, or you'll get a message asking for a properly formatted CSV export.
Name and email are the only required columns; phone, current title, current company, and notes are all optional. The importer recognizes common header variations automatically (e.g. "Full Name" or "Candidate Name" both map to Name), but you'll get a chance to review and adjust the column mapping before anything is imported.
Next, you'll see a review screen: rows with a validation problem (like a missing or malformed email) are flagged with the specific error and left unchecked, while valid rows are pre-selected. Fix the source file and re-upload if you need to, or just leave the flagged rows out of this batch.
If a row matches an existing candidate by email or name, you'll be asked whether to skip it or import it anyway as a separate entry — nothing is merged or overwritten automatically.
Large imports are submitted in batches behind the scenes, so you don't need to split a big file yourself. One thing to note: candidates added this way don't get a resume attached automatically, so the AI resume timeline check only runs once you upload a resume for that candidate afterward.
